European Dance class focusing on 15th century Italian dances inspired by sins, e.g. Gelosia.

A survey of various games known to have been played in Brothels, Taverns, and other dens of iniquity in the medieval period.

Bring proof of  age of majority—adults only!

Have you been wanting to research or reproduce  something heretical, naughty, or just plain scandalous?    Have we got a contest for you!  The overall winner to be determined by pomegranate seed count, with other prizes to be determined on site, once we’ve figured out what sort of items are entered.  The theme is “Sin,” and all forms of entry will be accepted. Please remember that site is dry.

A track of classes will also be offered, updated listing below.

Competition Guidelines:

Your entry may be as sinful as you wish. 

Performance entries will be judged by acclaim around 4pm in a separate competition.

Parents have no fear—those items which are too scandalous for the eyes of youth will be set apart in a place of honor.  It will be readily identifiable and off-limits to those lacking in years.

Heraldry of  the Damned

A brief travelogue of Dante’s Inferno, in which we shall meet some of the great sinners of Dante’s Middle Ages, hear their stories –- or at least the stories which won them a place in Dante's Hell -- and learn about their coats of arms. The arms ascribed by heralds to Satan and other demons will be included.

Poetry Competition:

The subject is the 7 Deadly Sins and preference will be given to works in period forms (like the sonnet).

Poems must be composed at the event and turned in by 4:00pm to the Gates of Hell. 

An entry form and scratch paper will be provided.

Master Jacques Dirlonde of Outremer and Meistara Jofridr Thorbjarnardottir will judge.

Winner may read (or have read) his poem during feast.
